As of 00:01 today, Thursday 15 October 2020, and after nearly 400hrs in eleven weeks, I began a leave of absence from my role as Special Constable with Bedfordshire Police.
Serving alongside our police officers has been eye opening on many levels, and I am proud to have worked in protecting the most vulnerable in our community, preventing harm and keeping the peace. I cannot state enough how incredibly proud I am of the men and women in our police force who literally put their lives in danger in order to preserve another. Despite the immense pressures of the role, it is one I would gladly recommend to anyone.
I will now resume my campaign as Conservative candidate for the May 2021 Police and Crime Commissioner election.
