Bedfordshire Police was recently rated as GOOD by Her Majesty's Inspecotorate of Constabulary Fire and Rescue Service (HMICFRS) following an indepth evaluation of the Force.
This good news comes following a poor rating just a few years ago. Thanks to the exceptional and combined effort of the outgoing Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner, Kathryn Holloway, Chief Constable, Garry Forsyth and the entire team, the turnaround in fortune means the next PCC has a solid foundation to build on.
Commenting on this news, Conservative PCC candidate, Festus Akinbusoye said:
"This is fantastic news for the morale of our brilliant officers, the back-room staff, Chief Constable Garry Forsyth and outgoing Conservative PCC, Kathryn Holloway's teams. I commend them for their hard-work and commitment to ensuring Bedfordshire Police is better placed for future improvements than four years ago. I am ambitious for Bedfordshire Police and if elected as the next PCC, I am determined to make sure we work towards becoming an outstanding Police Force that continues to deliver for residents, safeguards the most vulnerable and supports our fantastic team of officers in their vital roles.
